No you haven't read the title wrong today I'm blogging about the latest trend, knitted and crocheted accessories set to liven up any kitchen.
After seeing these I will admit I laughed a lot but then I started to want them for my kitchen more and more. There are a few that baffle me such as a knitted candle cover, which to me spells danger but today I would like to talk about my top 3 knitted accessories for the kitchen from the cheap to the expensive.
First your traditional tea pot cosy yes they've been around since the late 1800's but now they are back and in style the vibrant colours will stand out in your kitchen and surprisingly give you a modern look. However the price's have gone up as now can range anywhere between £40 and £100's but I'm sure if you look hard enough you can find them cheaper. Due to the wide selection of colours it won't be hard to find one that matches your colour scheme.
Second the Crazy Cockerel egg cosy from I Like Chickens only £9.95 handmade using lambs wool the quirky design will look great in any kitchen and if you have kids they will love it. With Easter around the corner I can't think off a better time to purchase one and who knows it might get your kids excited enough to learn how to make you scrambled egg on toast in bed!
Lastly and this isn't an impulse buy, your going to have to really like it for the price £450. Its a Bud Stripe table lamp by Melanie Porter at Not On The High Street and the more I see it the more I want it! Its bright its vibrant and will certainly be a talking point in any kitchen, this knitted item is my guilty pleasure and I'm very tempted to buy one if only a little cheaper. For those with a bit of extra cash I couldn't recommend it more.
Please let us know if you two have brought into the crazy of knitted accessories.
